Bolder Athlete respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Bolder Athlete collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use our website, mobile applications for iOS and Android, community features, coaching/programming services, checkout flows, and related services.
This policy is intended to cover Bolder Athlete and the Bolder Athlete mobile app. If you do not agree with this policy, do not use the services.
We collect information needed to operate Bolder Athlete, deliver programming, support your account, and improve the service.
Account and profile information: name, email address, username, password/authentication information, profile details, gym or affiliate information, subscription status, and account settings.
Training and workout information: selected track, workout history, scores, logs, completion status, notes, progress data, movement history, scaling selections, leaderboard entries, and related performance information you choose to enter.
Community and user-generated content: posts, comments, messages, reactions, photos, videos, media uploads, and reports or moderation actions connected to community features.
Payment and subscription information: purchase records, product or subscription selected, billing status, transaction identifiers, and limited payment metadata. Full card numbers are processed by payment providers and are not stored by Bolder Athlete.
Device, app, and usage information: IP address, device type, operating system, app version, browser type, pages or screens viewed, clicks, referral/campaign information, crash logs, diagnostics, and other technical usage data.
Location and weather-related information: approximate location, user-provided location, or device location if you grant permission, used for location-based features such as nearby/weather context.
Notification information: push notification tokens, notification preferences, and delivery status for app notifications.
Support communications: messages you send to us, support requests, survey responses, and other communications with Bolder Athlete.
We use information to:
create, authenticate, and manage your account;
deliver workouts, programming tracks, score/logging features, progress tools, and community features;
process payments, subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations, and receipts;
send service notices, app notifications, account messages, updates, and marketing communications where permitted;
provide support, troubleshoot issues, investigate errors, and maintain service reliability;
moderate community content, enforce our terms, prevent abuse, and protect users and the service;
analyze usage, improve features, measure marketing performance, and understand product effectiveness;
comply with legal, tax, accounting, safety, security, and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate, protect, and improve the service.
Service providers: We may share data with vendors that provide hosting, app infrastructure, databases, storage, payments, analytics, notifications, email, customer support, weather/location services, moderation, and security.
Platform and infrastructure providers: These may include Rounds & Reps or other Bolder Athlete backend systems, Stripe or other payment processors, Kajabi, AWS or similar cloud/storage providers, Expo, Apple Push Notification service, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Open-Meteo or similar weather providers, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and similar operational tools.
Community visibility: Content you post in community areas, leaderboard entries, profile elements, comments, reactions, and similar activity may be visible to other users depending on the feature and your settings.
Legal and safety reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, users, Bolder Athlete, or the public.
Business transfers: If Bolder Athlete is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to appropriate protections.
If AI-assisted support, moderation, or product features are used, information you submit may be processed by AI service providers only for the intended support, moderation, or product purpose and subject to provider and internal safeguards.
The Bolder Athlete app may request device permissions. You can control these permissions through your device settings.
Notifications: used to send workout reminders, account notices, community updates, and service messages if you opt in.
Location: used only when needed for location-based features such as nearby/weather context and only if you grant permission.
Camera, microphone, and photo library: used only when you choose to capture, upload, or attach media in features such as profile, community, messages, or support.
Our website and related services may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to keep the service working, remember preferences, measure performance, understand traffic, improve the product, and evaluate marketing.
You can adjust browser settings to refuse or delete cookies. Some features may not work correctly without necessary cookies. Marketing emails include unsubscribe options where required.
If you have a Bolder Athlete account, you can request account deletion and associated data deletion in the app through:

You may also request deletion by emailing info [at] bolderathlete.com. We may need to verify your identity before processing a deletion request.
When you request account deletion, we delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account unless we need to retain limited information for legitimate reasons such as payment records, tax/accounting obligations, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or enforcement of our terms. Account freezing or deactivation is not treated as deletion.
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or allowed by law.
Account, profile, workout, score, log, and community data: retained while your account is active and generally deleted or de-identified within 30 days after a verified account deletion request, except where retention is required or permitted.
Backups: deleted on the normal backup cycle, generally within 90 days.
Payment, tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention records: retained as needed for legal, tax, accounting, chargeback, fraud-prevention, or audit purposes, generally up to 7 years where applicable.
Support and safety records: retained as needed to resolve requests, protect the service, and enforce terms, generally up to 3 years unless a longer period is necessary.
Analytics and diagnostic data: retained for a limited period appropriate to product analytics and reliability, generally up to 26 months unless aggregated or de-identified.
Marketing preference and unsubscribe records: retained as needed to honor your communication choices.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Bolder Athlete is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Bolder Athlete is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. These locations may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.
Where applicable, users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Brazil, and similar jurisdictions may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR, UK GDPR, and LGPD. These may include rights to access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction, and information about processing and sharing.
Where required, our legal bases may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, legal obligations, and protection of rights and safety.
Our services may link to third-party websites, app stores, platforms, communities, or payment pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Review their policies before providing information to them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the website, app, or email where appropriate.
